@@MoscowTKD I've noticed that to be the biggest give away. The overall paint is also a bit poorer compared to a genuine piece. Genuine ones have that lovely pinkish white color.

Yep, the main problem is to open a crotch area (I opend it with a cercular saw). Also, every warrior figure under 2016 mold has this joint system, so you can replace it.

If you order from an official retailer there is no problem, all figures are legit. If you order from Aliexpress there is about 1-2 months after official release of the figure before bootlegs/KO's start to pop up.

@@user-ql2rr9up1q I think the world famous is a BBTS toy sore. In US - Walmart, Target, ToysRUs and so on, if they exist at the moment. I live in Russia, so considering obvious reasons, we have some small retailers, but with reputation, they buy from European online stores as well from BBTS. But the Scout figure is pretty old, I don't know if it is on shelves at the moment. Try Ebay for this hunting.

​@@mikelsaezdeeguilaz386 unfortunately bootleggers know this feature, and even on KO's they change date code (for example KO Ultimate Elder Pred). Also, it could be the latest reissue of Big Chap, because NECA changes the date code as well. Should examine the figeure in complex: poligraphy, date code, package materials, Neca's writings on a figure and so on. The figures in vid were bought from official retailers. I never got 2023 Chap at the moment, so I can't tell.

Yes, as the mascot of the franchise JH will have a plenty of reissues. So the main idea is to buy from a legal destributor.

Yes, I agree. The only false statement, that it is a "production differences". Nope. it's another scheme of painting. Later on I found the legal product variant with black dots on dome and correct printing on the bottom. @MoscowTKD I also have a variant I bought directly from Neca that has the black painting your bootleg version does. But these are production variants. Every day the painting booth runs at the factory there is variations in the production process. For example there might be a air leak in the brown paint process causing a drop in pressure to the nozzle applicator and this will cause a weak stream. This might not be detected until later once shipments have gone out or deemed acceptable by a Individual at quality control or production supervisor or the sort process is not done correctly. The reality is that Neca has a weak quality control process as their figures sometimes come broken or with defects (I once received a figure with 2 right arms) so it is quite difficult to tell if something is legit neca or bootleg unless you buy it from Neca website or from a reputable store like Walmart or Target.

@@rr-sp5ii Definitely this is not a QC issue, If we speak about this figure, but a different paint scheme. Most legit figures have no black dots on the dome, and rare figures do have them. So it is just another wave of figures. Nowadays they change date code on a package, to confirm this. And in those days, it was not a rule. If a person wants to buy an official version with black dots, I strongly recommend to buy it in blister, so that you could examine the printings on inner paper cards. Also, there are some more attributes, that can not be shown in vid. For example, smell of painting materials, softness of PVC and so on. Official NECA has very bad smell right out of blister, which quickly disappears, the PVС is harder than bootleg’s version. The fake versions sometimes doesn’t have sharp smell (as this figure for example), or has a constant bad smell, which doesn’t disappear. I have 300+ NECA figures, so I know what I’m talking about :)

@MoscowTKD @MoscowTKD the black dots are from a clogged nozzle or low pressure on the paint gun that causes sputtering. It's definitely a QC issue. It was not done as "another wave" but represents a production run where there was a issue and Quality inspector/engineer or production supervisor deemed the defect acceptable to ship. The UPC "date code" is not when the figure was made. It's a lot code of when the paper was laser printed. The blister, injection molding of figures and paper graphics card are made in 3 different factories. Neca does not require a lot code for the finished product. The smell and softness of material can be due to speed of line not allowing resin to cool properly but this is not indicative of a bootleg just poor QC which neca is known for. I been working in the production industry side of things for these types of figures over 10 yrs and it's quite impossible to tell the difference between official neca and bootleg because it's the same thing. There is no difference. It's made in the same factory, same operators, same components, same everything. The only difference is that the bootleg is stolen product. Made "off the books".

@@rr-sp5ii I think you confuse UPC code with date code, which contains "N" on neca products. There are plenty official reissues of the same figures, whatch more of my vids, I don't know, if they used paint gun for making dots on this figure, but I know they use common brush for putting varnish (there was a bristle on one of my official toys), and in my opinion they do these details as dots with a common brush. So be happy and go on with collecting, Cheers!

Ребят, несколько отрядов есть в переиздате на ОЗОНЕ И ВАЛБЕРРИСЕ. визуально один в один, разных цветов. По кошельку. А в Авито оригиналы, но они кусачие)

Спасибо за просмотр! Да, коричневая версия это по четвертому фильму, а эта по второму. Все залипшие суставы это не проблема, лично я грею их горячей водой (прям из чайника), только после этого начинаю их разрабатывать, иначе, даже у такой большой фигуры, их можно сломать, такие случаи были.

Я не в теме нынешних цен, но по-моему, на релизе он стоил дороже) Т.е. по логике сейчас еще дороже, и, если видишь такую цену, можно брать.

my 2018 wont shut completely as well,. Classic Neca "issue"

If you look closely, the new version has a slightly narrower top of the head. It feels like this is either a new sculpt or a degradation of the mold. And the jaw mold is definitely old. There is simply not enough space on the right side of the head for the jaw to fit freely inside. I'll have to figure out this problem, maybe I'll take a video of the process if the repair turns out to be successful.
